According to this report and so many others, Spring/Early Summer is by far the best time to come.
So why does Slip Aweigh Charters agree? Read on.....

April-June and onward....
The tourist season slows and hotel rates drop at this time of year. Average temperatures range from the mid 70s to high 80s, and there's very little rainfall.
In the Spring/Summer months, the water temperature is about 83 degrees. In the winter months, it's about 79 degrees! Ice! Begone!
Hotels are one thing but you could maybe consider a Land/Sea vacation? You know..... 2-3 days on land on your chosen island resort and then hop aboard your floating, movable "villa"!!
And the Charteryachts are also discounted for this time of year.
  • Economy: The Charter Summer Season ranges from 1 May to 14 December and all rates are lowered for your Preferred Charter Boat.
  • Spring time and early Summer bring reduced Tradewinds...Mostly ranging from 12-15 kts, mostly South of East. Perfect for sailing the Sir Francis Drake Channel and getting out to Anegada!
  • Peace: Favorite and most popular anchorages are not so busy, yet everything is open for business. It's a perfect time to find that isolated bay with white sandy beach for your picnic.
  • Humidity: You'll seldom find it humid in the Virgin Islands or even further South in the Island Chain. It's a destination not to be missed by Floridians!!
  • Mosquitos/Noseeums, oh my! Though your life aboard even in an anchorage is seldom plagued by these little buzzers, later into the Summer you will find some on land. They're still snoozing in Spring.
  • Special offers: Almost all boats open for Charter will have Special offers for this time of year.
  • Blooming Beauties: The Century plant chooses Springtime to open up its spectacular clusters of yellow blooms. The hillsides are covered with them.
  •
  •  The Flamboyant tree paints the hillsides with its flame orange color.
I can't think of a better way to emerge from the Deep Freeze of winter, can you?
